Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is DAKF06-01-T-0045 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26. This will be a 100% small business set aside (NAICS: 321992, size standard 500). RFQ's should be quoted in accordance with the following: Storage Shed, standard ranch style, 18 each. Submit color sample with quotation. Color: Gray. The intended purpose of the storage sheds is to store general motorpool equipment. The shed foundation shall support a minimum floor load of 100 pounds per square foot. The floor shall not bounce or sag. Sheds shall be constructed of wood -- aluminum or metal materials are not acceptable. Storage sheds shall be 12 foot x 14 foot in size. The height shall range between 9 foot and 10 foot. The roof shall be shingled, and able to meet El Paso County, Colorado, standard roof load minimum. Shingles shall be resistant to high winds. Siding shall not split or delaminate. Specify warranty offered for siding. The floor shall be built of materials that resist moisture and delamination. The door shall be a double door, measuring at least 6 foot across and be placed on one end of the shed. Ventilation or windows are NOT required. The door shall have a key locking handle; the handle shall accept a Series 5200 lock that will be provided by the Government. Sheds shall be installed, placed and leveled on top of rock bedding inside the 3-29 FA Motor Pool. Sheds shall be assembled prior to delivery. Contact Patricia Collins, Contract Specialist, to coordinate delivery; sheds shall be delivered to 3d Brigade Combat Team, 4th ID (M), 3-29th FA/S-4, Building 1853, Fort Carson, CO 80913 no later than 20 July 2001. Partial shipments are authorized. Delivery shall be FOB Destination. No digging is required. No electrical capability is required. Sheds shall come with a minimum 25-year lifetime warranty. Provide warranty information with quotation. Indicate on the quotation whether credit card payment includes a fee, and the fee amount if applicable. The provision at FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (10/2000), and FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items (5/99) is applicable to this solicitation. Offerors shall include with their offers a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items (05/2001).
