DESC: DESC: R-NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE PROCUREMENT = TO VIASAT, INC. The Department of the Air Force, Air Force Materiel Command, AFFTC -- AF = Flight Test Center intends to award a sole source task order contract = to ViaSat, Inc., 6155 El Camino Real, Carlsbad, CA 92009 to continue = the development of the Joint Communications Simulator. The original = effort was initiated under the OSD Central Test and Investment = Program?s Joint Installed System Test Facility Project. This sole = source award is being made to ensure the critical, highly integrated, = real time, distributed processing environment is preserved and = maintained. This effort shall provide new signals for the library and = fidelity improvements associated with original and updated = requirements. It shall also improve the performance and utility of the = simulators and continue the integration efforts between the JCS, = LINKS/S, AF, and Navy equipment. Please be advised of the following: = This program will involve technology acquisitions that have military = applications and are subject to Air Force Material Command Federal = Acquisition Regulation Supplement, Section 5393, Foreign Disclosure = Reviews.
