This announcement is a notice that Tricare Region 5, which includes all Military Medical Treatment Facilities in the s tates of Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, West Virginia, Michigan, and Wisconsin, is in the process of conducting a Medic al Surgical product standardization for the product-line SAFETY NEEDLES, SYRINGES, AND BLOOD DRAWING DEVICES. If your compan y currently holds a Distribution and Pricing Agreement (DAPA) for the Medical Surgical product-line of SAFETY NEEDLES, SYRI NGES, AND BLOOD DRAWING DEVICES your company is eligible to participate in the standardization process. This product-line mu st meet the requirements of the "Needlestick Safety and Prevention Act". Please contact the below named POC with your compan y's name, point of contact, and phone / fax number. If your company is not a current DAPA holder for this product line, you are still eligible to participate in the standardization process for this region by contacting the Defense Supply Center, Ph iladelphia (DSCP), Mr. John Charalabidif at (215) 737-7124 or e-mail at ( jcharalabidif@dscp.dla.mil ) to apply for a DAPA. Your company can be considered once DAPA paperwork is pending at DSCP. After you have notified us of your wish to participat e we will notify you of the next steps to take.
