Description

The Engineer Research and Development Center requires engineering services for the operation of the Shock and Vibration Information Analysis Center (SAVIAC) and research services in the field of Shock and Vibration Technology. Solicitation DACA42-01-R-0002 will be posted on or around June 28, 2001 at the following web site: http://www.mvk.usace.army.mil/contract/AdvertisedSolicitations.asp A pre-bid conference will be held in Vicksburg, Mississippi approximately 15 days following solicitation posting date. Additional information will be posted at VCCO web site provided above. The basic center operations and core portion of this contract is anticipated to be cost-plus-incentive-fee. The Government's objective is to operate a world-class center of technical and analytic excellence in the area of shock and vibration that will generate income and result in a partially self-supporting information analysis center. The research portion of the contract will be performed via auxiliary tasks after issuance of cost-plus-fixed-fee task orders. A major portion of the Core Operations is the organizing and managing of the annual Shock and Vibration Symposia. Successful contractor will be required to attend 72nd Shock and Vibration Symposium in San Destin, Florida (12-16 November 2001) as outlined in Scope of Work.
