Description

The proposed acquisition is being offered for competition limited to = 100% set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The applicable SIC Code is = 8999 with a Size Standard of $5 million and NAICS Code is 541620 with a = Size Standard of $5 million. The contractor shall furnish instructors = to provide training materials, training aids and transportation to = instruct hazardous waste coordinators on safe handling procedures and = management of hazardous waste at various locations in Kodiak and = Anchorage, AK; Seattle, WA; Honolulu, HA and Alameda, CA. All = instructors must comply with requirements of the Resource Conservation = and Recovery Act, Super-fund Amendments and Re-authorization Act, = Occupational Safety and Health Act and the Hazardous Material = Transportation Uniform Safety Act. There are approximately 5 basic and = 6 refresher courses that will be conducted each contract option period. = The performance period of the Base Year is 01 August 2001 through 31 = July 2002, with four (4) one year options. The solicitation will be = posted on the Electronic Posting System on or about 11 June 2001. All = interested firms that hold 100% Small Business Set-Aside status are = encouraged to download the solicitation. The solicitation will include = firm fixed-price service items and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite = Quantity (IDIQ) provisions for task orders. Award will be made on best = value to the Government. For informational purposes: Minority, = Women-owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, the Department of = Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business = Utilization (OSDBU), has a program to assist minority, women-owned and = disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working = capital assistance for transportation-related contracts.
