Description
Scope of work consists of the removal and replacement of approx. 36,000 sf. of built-up roofing on the main and penthouse roofs, and replacement of approx 4,000 sf. of built-up roofing on the two canopy roofs over the east and west ground floor entrances. Associated roof components will be replaced including but not limited to: base and counterflashings, pitch pockets, gravel stops at drains, roof drain strainers, lead flashings at pipe protrusions, and metal copings at parapets. New roofing systems will consist of an adhered single-ply membrane over tapered rigid insulation. The main roof will be further protected with a system of concrete pavers supported by an adjustable height pedestal system. The new single ply membrane roofs on the penthouse and entrance canopies will be exposed and not covered by pavers. The project also includes removal of a window washing railway track system around the entire perimeter of the main roof and installation of a new window washing track/trolley system. A custom designed movable (rolling) tie-back anchoring system shall be provided. System shall allow safe access to exterior facade windows by maintenance staff using bosun's chairs for the primary purpose of window cleaning. The new track/trolley system shall be designed to utilize existing roof mounted steel pipe pedestals. Estimated cost range between $500,000 and $1 million. NAICS 235610. This is NOT a sealed bid and is open to all. All responsible sources may submit an offer for consideration. GSA is issuing this solicitation ONLY ELECTRONICALLY.
