Description
The Contractor shall be responsible for all labor, material, equipment and supervision necessary for the cutting of designated groomed and semi-groomed grass areas and the cutting of grass-covered magazines/bunkers and berms. All work shall be performed at the Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Indian Head Division, Indian Head Md., and the Stump Neck (S.N.) Annex tenant activity, which is located approximately eleven (11)miles from NSWC. Grass cutting shall consiost of 140 acres classified as groomed cutting with 110 acres to be cut at various locations throughout the non-restricted area of NSWC Activity and 30 acres at various locations throughout the S.N. Annex. Mowing season shall begin on 02 July 2001 and terminate on 02 November 2001. Grass shall be cut every ten calendar days, i.e. designated grass cutting performed on Monday, will be sut on thursday of the following week. Grass cutting shall consist of mowing 60 acres classified as semi-groomed areas, with 35 acres to be cut at various locations throughout the non-restricted are of NSWC Activity and 25 acres at various locations throughour the S.N. Annex. Mowing season shall begin on 02 July 2001 and terminate on 02 November 2001. Grass shall be cut every 14 calendar days, i.e. deisgnated grass cutting performed on Monday, will be cut on Monday two weeks the following. The Contractor shall provide grass cutting of magazines/bunkers and berms at 33 individual sites. There are 3 magazine/bunker and berm sits at the NSWC Activity and 30 such sites at the S.N. Annex. At each site a different topography exists; therefore, grass-cutting services vary greatly. Some sites will not have berms; others will have multiple berms. The Government has determined that three-quarter (3/4) acre will be allowed per each individual site. Grass cutting of magazines/bunkers and berms shall be performed twice during the contract term. The start completion timeframes are from 16 to 25 July and from 17 to 26 September 2001.
