- Description
- PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE: The work includes furnishing all labor, = tools, equipment and materials to rehabilitate Pensacola Light, a = historic lighthouse structure. The work includes preparing and = painting the exterior surfaces of the 200 foot tall masonry light = tower. Partial restoration of one interior room within the light = tower; limited interior painting in the light tower and limited = exterior painting on the attached keeper?s quarters building. Masonry = repairs on the keeper?s quarters structure and in the interior of the = light tower; miscellaneous metal repairs at the top of the light tower; = and various repairs around the lighthouse grounds including wood fence = repairs, concrete sidewalk repairs and reframing one wall on one = outbuilding. This work is located at USCG Aids to Navigation Team = Pensacola on U. S. Naval Air Station Pensacola, Florida. Request for a = bid package must be submitted in writing. There will be a $10.00 = charge for the solicitation package and drawings. All checks should be = made payable to the U. S. Coast Guard. This action is being considered = for 100 percent set-aside for HUBZone small business concerns. = Interested HUBZone small business concerns should indicate their = interest to the Contract Specialist, in writing, as early as possible = but to be received not later than 15 calendar days of this notice. As = a minimum, the following information is required: (a) copy of the = certificate issued by the SBA of your qualifications as a HUBZone = concern, (b) a positive statement of your intention to submit an = offer for this solicitation as a prime contractor, (c) evidence of = experience in work similar in type and scope to include contract = numbers, project titles, dollar amounts, and points of contacts and = telephone numbers and (d) provide evidence of bonding capability to = the maximum magnitude of the project, to include both single and = aggregate totals. All of the above must be submitted in sufficient = detail for a decision to be made on availability of interested HUBZone = concerns. Failure to submit all information requested will result in a = contractor not being considered as an interested HUBZone concern. If = adequate interest is not received from HUBZone concerns by close of = business 15 calendar days from the date of this notice, this = solicitation will be issued on an unrestricted basis without further = notice. Therefore, replies are requested from large and small business = concerns, as well as from HUBZone concerns. The estimated dollar value = of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The North = American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235210 with a = three-year average annual receipts of $11.5 million. Bid quarantee, = payment and performance bonds are required. It is anticipated that the = solicitation package will be available in July 2001. Contract = performance time will be sixty (60) calendar days. Plans will be = available for inspection without charge at U. S. Coast Guard Aids to = Navigation Team Pensacola, Florida.*****=20
