Description

The United States Section of the International Boundary and Water Commission, United States and Mexico (USIBWC), El Paso, TX, has a requirement for a firm-fixed price for an Electric Remote Control Submersible Sewage Pump In addition, the following accessories are also required: Power cable -- 400 ft., Float Hose. -- 4 " 100 psi, 400 ft., Winch Cable Anchoring and Tensioning Package -- four point, Auto Sense -- Automate forward reverse travel control, Solids Sense -- Automate Solids density control loop. Submit faxed quotations to "Acquisitions", at 915/832-4192. QUOTATIONS ARE DUE June 29, 2001, BY 1:00 P.M. MDST. Simplified procurement procedures will be used as well as commercial item acquisition regulations per FAR 12. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS /SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the form in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation and is issued as a Request for Quotes (RFQ H-09-01); quotations are being requested and A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. This solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses which are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-21. The provision at 52.212.1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The applicable NAICS Code for this procurement is 333911 with a small business standard of 500 employees or less. SPECIFICATIONS: Physical Characteristics: Maximum working Depth -- 10 ft. minimum. Flotation -- Foam Filled Pontoons, UV Stabilized. Weight -- Not to exceed 5,000 lbs. Operational Draft -- Not to Exceed 18". Overall Length -- Not to Exceed 25'. Transport Width -- Not to exceed 8'. Transport Height -- Not to exceed 7'. Pontoon Frame -- Mild Steel or Aluminum, sandblasted and coated with coal tar epoxy (or epoxy equivalent) of at least 12 mils thickness for corrosion resistance when exposed to domestic sewage. Welded seams and joints. Power: Voltage -- 460 Volt AC, 3 Phase, 60 Hz. Total Horsepower -- Not to exceed 20 horsepower combined total horsepower. Power Feed -- Power feed shall be one cable from source to distribution panel on dredge. Power cable not to be supplied with dredge. Control: Speed -- Radio Remote Control. Direction -- Radio Remote Control. Remote Control -- Minimum of at least 1500' operating range. Remote control unit will be supplied with dredge. Remote Control will have both speed and directions controls on one unit. Propulsion: Transverse -- Treble Sheave Hydraulic or Electric Winch. Transverse Speed -- Variable from 0 to 30 FPM. Elevation Winch: Hydraulic or Electric Operation. Slurry Pump: Pump -- Centrifugal, Enclosed Impeller Pump. Pump construction -- Cast Iron. Pump Speed -- 1750 RPM. Suction Diameter -- 4". Discharge diameter -- 4' with quick connect coupling. Sphere Size -- 3" maximum. Gallons Per Minute -- Minimum 400 GPM Average discharge at 40 feet of Head. Auger: Auger -- to include shroud. Auger -- Welded steel construction. Shroud -- Welded steel construction. Cutterhead -- 2700 lbs of digging torque minimum. Cutterhead -- tines will be removable and replaceable. Coatings: All metal surfaces contacting liquid shall be sandblasted and coated with 2 coats of coal tar epoxy (or equivalent epoxy coating) with a film thickness of 12 mils minimum. Pumps, motors, hoses, shall be coated or constructed of material as to prevent corrosion when exposed to domestic sewage.
