Description

The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, intends to solicit, = negotiate, and award a sole source, Firm-Fixed Price contract, under = Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial = Items and FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition Procedures, to Data = Device Corporation (DDC), 105 Wilbur Place, Bohemia, NY 11716-2426, = for Interface Cards, MIL 1553, Part Number BU-65568C1-200, quantity of = 12 each. The MIL-STD-1553 Interface Cards are a primary component = needed to develop the Vehicle Interface Unit (VIU), which communicates = with the QF-4 Drone Aircraft autopilot. These Interface Cards are = required for the design and development of the Multi Service Target = Control System (MSTCS) program. Each Interface Card shall contain the = following: PC-104 form factor, a single channel, yet A&B bus, software = driver source code provided, hardware documentation provided, such = that, low-level assembly language software can be written, an onboard = 6-bit input port (with pull-up resistors) to accommodate parity and R/T = address bits, and DDC BUS61555 and Advanced Communication Engine (ACE) = Software compatible. Two of the Twelve units are needed by July 2001. = This is a sole source procurement under the authority of FAR Part = 6.302-1.
