Description

NOTICE OF INTENT. The U. S. Customs Service (USCS) intends to = solicit and award an order for several options to be added to three = American Science & Engineering (AS&E) 101 GT X-ray systems purchased on = GSA Schedule. The requirement will be processed under the authority of = 10 USC 2304(c)(1), only one responsible source and no other supplies or = services will satisfy agency requirements. The options to be purchased = are: (1) density expand; (2) locking density expand; (3) locking zoom; = (4)edge enhancement -- 24 mm of steel equivalent; and (5) extra = penetration. AS&E is the exclusive supplier of the 101 GT equipment = and no other company can supply and install the required options to the = equipment. The intended source is American Science & Engineering, 829 = Middlesex Turnpike, Billerica, MA 01821. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT = A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Prospective contractos who = believe they can successfully propose must provide specific and = detailed technical documentation to support such claims and abilities = within 15 days of this publication.
