Description

The USDA, Agricultural Research Service (ARS), intends to negotiate solely with Perkin Elmer Instruments in Norwalk, CT, to furnish and deliver, F.O.B. Destination, within Consignee's Premises, to the USDA, ARS, NAA, Appalachian Farming Systems Research Center, Beaver, West Virginia, for two (2), new, high performance liquid chromatograph systems (HPLC) and accessories. These systems will be used to separate, detect and quantify biochemical constituents in samples such as tissue extracts or biological fluids. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS- One (1) each, Series 200 Refractive Index (RI) Detector and two (2) each of the following: 1) Series 200 Quaternary Solvent Pump; 2) Series 200 Autosampler; 3) Autosampler Flush Bottle; 4) Peltier Accessory for Series 200 Autosampler; 5) Series 200 Photodiode Array Detector; 6) Quaternary Degassing Package; 7) Series 200 Peltier Column Oven; 8) Installation of 3 LC instrument components (non TC4/1022 system); 9) WORKSTATION includes: one (1) each: DELL(or equal) PC GX110/M PIII 667MHz 128MB RAM Win NT and Nokia (or equal) 17-inch SVGA monitor; mouse pad, Software including: Basic Turbochrom Workstation Software, Turbochrom Workstation Method Development Software, Turbochrom Workstation Turboscan200 software, Turbochrom Workstation System Suitability Software, Turbochrom Workstation Chromatography Software, Turbochrom Workstation Instrument Personality Module, Turbochrom Workstation Single-instrument to Multi-instrument Upgrade software kit with one Reprocess Only license, Model NCI 902 Intelligent Interface with RVP/Relay Board, Cable Kit RS232 NCI 902 Interface to Link, IEEE-488 cables, Basic Installation of all software, and a 90-day Software Update Service and includes shipping. WARRANTY -- A one-year parts, labor and travel warranty shall be provided with this equipment and a standard commercial software warranty. TRAINING -- The company shall provide a minimum of 1 day on-site training to three (3) people and includes all pertinent training materials. Training shall be coordinated with the COR (to be named at time of award) and completed within two (2) weeks after delivery. MANUALS -- The company shall provide two (2) copies, for each unit, for each of the site preparation, users, software, and maintenance manuals for each item (as required). The site preparation manual shall be submitted within two (2) weeks after receipt of the purchase order and all other manuals shall be submitted at time of delivery. INSTALLATION -- Shall be coordinated with the COR (to be named at time of award) and be completed within two (2) weeks after delivery and is included in the price. The system must be completely interchangeable with existing Perkin Elmer hardware and software capabilities with respect to research method development. Companies with the demonstrated capability and financial capacity to provide and service such equipment must submit a written substantive statement outlining the Company's and systems' capabilities, available service agreements and consumables (including price lists) to the Contracting Officer within 15 days of publication of this notice. This is not a request for proposal. No solicitation is available.
