N00164-01-Q-0217 -- HEXCORE -- FSG 93 -- NAICS 325211 -- Issue Date 12 JUN 01 -- Closing Date 21 JUN 01 This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This requirement is being solicited on a sole-source basis from Hexcel Corporation, 11711 Dublin Blvd., Dublin, CA 94568 because this material was the material used for the design of ALQ-99 Pod Radomes and if the material is changed it could affect the structural or radio frequency characteristics of the systems resulting in the loss of mission capabilities due to malfunction of the radome. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0217 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The proposed contract is NOT set-aside for small business concerns. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-26 as well as DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 325211 and the size standard is 750 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 -- 74 each Hexcore manufactured to specification DS-3100, P/N HRH-327-3/16-5.00. Each sheet size to be as follows: (L) 30.000" + 1.000 /- 1.000 (W) 72.000" + 3.000/ -3.000 and (T) 0.166" + .006/-.066 . Test report and certification required. Delivery is required F.o.B. NSWC Crane, IN 47522 within 45 days after award. Final inspection will be at destination. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. Quotes that are non-compliant with any material requirement of this solicitation may be rejected without further consideration for award. Along with your offer, provide references from a minimum of three Government/State/Local Agencies in which you have manufactured same/similar material. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government.
