- Description
- The National Institute on Aging, Gerontology Research Center intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with University of Maryland, Baltimore County, Behavioral Medicine Program, Dr. Shari Waldstein, Baltimore, MD 21250. The University will perform analyses on the relationship between longitudinal changes in blood pressure and longitudinal changes in cognitive performance in data from the Baltimore Longitudinal Study of Aging, and collect and analyze data on cardiovascular psychophysiology in the Healthy Aging in Nationally Diverse Samples Study. This procurement will assess the reliability and validity of our measurements, their appropriate use as predictors of cognitive performance, perform appropriate analyses for detecting the relationship of hypertension and changes in blood pressure and cognitive performance, and interpret the results. In addition, this procurement will supply much needed data on cognitive performance and cardiovascular psychophysiology in minority and low socioeconomic samples.
