Description

The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration = (SAMHSA), Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT), Office of = Managed Care (OMC), through the Division of Acquisition Management = (DAM), Program Support Center (PSC), PSC Acquisitions Branch, intends = to award a sole source acquisition to the Academy for Health Services = research and Health Policy (AHSRHP) in Washington, DC. The purpose of = this acquisition is to provide CSAT with development and dissemination = of audiotapes of CSAT Health Services Research Initiatives. This is to = ensure that a broad range of health services and public health = researchers and policy makers review research findings and address = issues related to research directions in managed care and substance = abuse. Also, this will assist CSAT in the development and = implementation of two meeting seminars addressing CSAT's health = services research program and will provide an audiotape of these = seminars to CSAT, as well as to a broad audience of public health and = health services constituencies, including researchers, health policy = makers, clinicians, and delivery systems managers. The AHSRHP is the = only contractor that can provide the required services. This proposed = contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government = intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the = authority of FAR 13.106-1 (b). Interested persons may identify, in = writing, their interest and capability to respond to the requirement = for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received within 15 = days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by = the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this = proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within = the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally = be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct = a competitive procurement. Any requests for solicitation packages will = be considered nonresponsive. All submissions are to be sent to Sophia = S. Janus at the address above, referencing 01M000878X. This = acquisition is being made utilizing FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisition = Procedures.
