SEALING COMPOUND /7 ORDERS TOTALING 26 8030-01-416-5201 UI: BX SEALING COMPOUND: DESCRIPTION Bidders offering other than brand name items identified herein must furnish with their bids adequate descriptive literature so that a determination can be made as to equality of the products offered. In order for the government to make an "or equal" determination of the offered product(s), the furnished information must delineate each applicable characteristic, unit of measure, and test method of the offered product(s) directly correlated to each of the requirements delineated in the item purchase description. Failure to furnish this information/literature will result in the bid being rejected as non-responsive or may be considered as unacceptable for award in a negotiated procurement (see GSAR Clause 552.221-70). A one-component, moisture curing, clear, urethane coating for use in sealing terazzo, concrete, PRC, and AM Deck floors. Size: The product shall be furnished in 1 gallon quantities packaged in accordance with the supplier's normal commercial practice provided that there will be no interaction chemically or physically with the contents so as to damage the containers or alter the strength, quality, or purity of the contents. The cans shall be closed in a manner that will insure that the contents will not spill or leak from the containers during shipment, handling, storage, and redistribution. PACKAGING PACKAGING: Material packaged as specified above shall be packed in a close-fitting, corrugated, fiberboard box conforming to Section 6(a), Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification and Item 222 of the National Motor Freight Classification (200 minimum burst). Closure of the boxes shall be in accordance with Section 7 of Rule 41 of the Uniform Freight Classification. Gross weight of the box and contents shall not exceed 65 pounds. MARKING All unit, intermediate, transport packages and unit loads shall be marked for delivery to civilian activities in accordance with the FED-STD-123G, dated June 6, 1997, or marked for delivery to military activities in accordance with MIL-STD-129N, dated 15, May, 1997, as applicable.
