Worldwide Chemical Conference & Exhibition XVIII July 9-13, 2001 Ft. Leonard Wood, MO The theme of this year's conference is "Investing in the Future." Because the threat of terrorist and other non-traditional uses of weapons of mass destruction continues to grow, force protection considerations continue to span the range of mission planning tasks from home station pre-deployment through force buildup and mission execution. At the same time, domestic preparedness, peacekeeping, and treaty compliance tasks are being added to those of traditional combat operations. Traditionally, the Worldwide Chemical Conference and Warfighters' Symposium are held in conjunction with the Chemical Corps Regimental anniversary week celebration. Other events occurring during this weeklong celebration include a golf tournament, Regimental Run, NCO Leadership Conference, Chemical Corps Regimental Association meeting, and the Green Dragon Ball. (Separate registrations with the Chemical School are required for these activities.) Exhibit facilities and space have been updated to accommodate the high corporate interest shown at the Conference last year. All exhibits (other than static displays) will be held indoors with exhibitor spaces available in Nutter Field House and now in the Davis Club. Lighting in the Field House has been improved and the entire facility re painted. There will be a total of 100 exhibitor spaces available. Among the refinements made since last year's conference, please note the following: On-site registration for all Regimental Week activities will be conducted in the Davis Club. More than 400 motel rooms in the St. Robert area have been blocked for this conference. You will be able to book your room with all motels through a single booking agency at the Ft. Leonard Wood Lodging Office. Please pass this information to colleagues who may also be interested in attending. Copies of the registration form are available for downloading from the Events web page. The 18th Annual Worldwide Chemical Conference and Warfighters' Symposium is UNCLASSIFIED. All industry and government exhibits are open to each attendee. We look forward to seeing you at Ft. Leonard Wood July 9-13, 2001!
