Description

The Military District of Washington Acquisition Center intends to enter into a sole source contract with DC Arena LMTD Partnership for the use of the MCI Center in Washington, DC, with lighting, sound, staging, video, special effects and production services for the 2001 Spirit of America Pageant during the period of September 16 through September 23, 2001. As a result of a market survey the MCI Center was selected due to their seating capacity, indoor air-conditioned facility, facilities to handle live animals, sufficient power and pre-wiring for required video and lighting support, access to the subway system, dressing rooms and staging area to accommodate 350 plus performers. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Solicitation will not be issued.
