Description

The Military District of Washington Acquisition Center intends to enter into a sole source contact with SMG for the use of Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio with lighting, sound, staging, video, special effects and production services for the 2001 Spirit of America Pageant during the period of September 25 through September 29, 2001. As a result of a market survey Nationwide Arena was selected due to their seating capacity, indoor air-conditioned facility, usable seating capacity of 12,000 seats after stage area and backdrop are erected, facilities to handle live animals (i.e., horses), sufficient power and pre-wiring for required video and lighting support, dressing rooms and staging area to accommodate 350 plus performers. The proposed contact action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All proposals received within thirty days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determiation by the Government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Soliciations will not be issued.
