Description

This solicitation is unrestricted, the NAICS is 233320 and the small business size standard is $27.5 Million. The contractor shall provide all necessary tools, labor, materials, equipment, permits, license and supervision in accordance with the drawings, specifications and subject to the terms and conditions of the contract for Project 544-305 "Community Standard Upgrade of Surgical Inpatient Beds 2 West", located at the WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Rd., Columbia, SC 29209. Work includes but is not limited to: general construction, demolition of interior elements of the 2nd floor, west wing of the hospital (Building 100) and construction of a complete renovation to include: new partitions, doors and finishes, new electrical, new nurses call and headwall systems, new HVAC and new fire protection systems. Estimated dollar value of construction is between $2,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. Estimated solicitation issue date is June 28, 2001. Estimated Bid Opening date is July 31, 2001. Specifications and drawings will be available or about June 28, 2001 at a cost of $75.00 per set (non-refundable). Request for specifications and drawings must be in writing on company letterhead, with a contact name, telephone number, fax number and accompanied by cashiers check, money order, or certified check only. Make checks or money order payable to U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. Do not send cash. Personal checks or company checks will not be accepted.
