Description

Contractor shall provide all plant, asphalt materials, equipment, = tools and labor required to perform the work necessary to complete the = project in accordance with the contract specifications and drawings to = maintain and repair existing pavements and to construct new pavements = on Elmendorf AFB, AK. and Fort Richardson, AK. Work consists of but = not limited to: All base roads, parking lots, driveways, bike paths, = golf cart paths, all base airfield pavements which include all = taxiways, runways, aprons, airfield roads and hangar floors. The = pavement work items include, but not limited to: asphalt and concrete = paving, crack sealing, joint sealing, spall repairs, pothole repairs, = replace curbs and gutters, replace concrete sidewalks, handicap access, = pavement markings, base course and sub-base work and others. Magnitude = is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Performance period is 22 = September 2001 through 21 September 2002 for the Base Year and 365 = calendar days for the First Option Year. Solicitation will be = available on or about 15 July 2001 with a closing date of 15 August = 2001. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be = considered by the agency. The package, with the specifications and = drawings, will be available only through the Electronic Posting System = (EPS) @ http://www.fedbizops.gov. This project is open to both large = and small business and is under the Small Business Competitiveness = Demonstration Program. Large businesses are required to submit a = sub-contracting plan under this solicitation
