Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary to retrofit lighting fixtures in Building #262 located at the U. S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). Work includes but is not limited to the following: Remove and properly dispose of T12 fluorescent lamps and ballasts from existing fixtures and replace with new T8 lamps and ballasts. In some cases, two T8 lamps will replace four existing T12 lamps. Install new custom designed specular reflectors in specified existing fixtures. Remove specified existing light fixtures and replace with new fixtures. Remove specified incandescent lamps and replace with new compact fluorescent lamps. Install new wire, as necessary. Clean all fixture surfaces. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required; however, a Payment Bond is required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235310, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages shall be mailed on or about 29 June 2001.
