Description

Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment and supervision necessary for a complete and proper NEC/NESC installation of electric meters at the U. S. Coast Guard Training Center, Cape May, New Jersey (Cape May county). Work includes but is not limited to the following: Install a total of seven new electric meters. Three meters shall be installed at the Main Switchgear, two meters in the Galley, and two meters at Pier #3. If the primary side of the Main Switchgear must be shutdown, the Contractor shall coordinate work with the power department of Conectiv to provide this service. Remove one existing meter socket and meter installed at the Main Switchgear. Install a total of eight new electric meter sockets including PT fuses, CT shorting blocks, and any terminal blocks. The existing meter removed shall be installed in one of the new meter sockets. Install a total of four sets of 600 V class CTs. Three of the new electric meters will be connected to existing CTs and PTs in the Main Switchgear. Install conduit and wire as necessary to remotely locate two meters in the Galley a distance of approximately 20' from the transformers. Provide all the spare meters and PT fuses as indicated. There is no charge for the solicitation package. No Bid Bond is required; however, a Payment Bond is required prior to issuance of Notice to Proceed. The estimated dollar value of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. The performance period is 60 calendar days. Award will be made to the lowest responsible quoter. This solicitation is being issued pursuant to the Small Business Competitive Demonstration Program and is open to large and small business participation. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 235310, with a size standard of $11.5 million. All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which shall be considered by this agency. Solicitation packages will be mailed on or about 29 June 2001.
