Description

The Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) intends to award a sole source contract to Eastman Kodak, Digital Equipment Customer Service, 800 Lee Road, Rochester, NY 14650-3129. DISA has a requirement for one (1) Kodak HR500 Scanner. The specifications for the Scanner are as follows: Must be a multi format film scanner; capable of scanning film sizes from 35mm up to 120/220; capable of scanning color negatives, color reversal, and black and white film types; capable of scanning complete 35mm rolls of film (without the need for editing/notching film) to automate the scanning process and increase productivity; must utilize a TWAIN data source for Windows NT; must be capable of integrating with PAS system; must have scalable file sizes up to 128 megabytes to support the production of large format display prints; be able to fully support the addition of next generation digital printers; be able to supply higher first time scan yields; be able to generate multiple file types (i.e., JPEG,TIFF, etc.); and must be able to produce a digital file capable of yielding prints with the "look and feel" of optical prints of Presidential quality. THIS REQUIREMENT IS FOR A BRAND NAME, SPECIFIC MAKE AND MODEL. This synopsis is a notice of intent to issue an award that is other than full and open competition and should not be considered a request for competitive quotations. The determination of the Government not to open this requirement to full and open competition was made IAW 6.302-1 and 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) 1 and is solely at the discretion of the Government.
