Description

This is a combined Synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format included in FAR subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested no written solicitation will be issued. The combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation (RFQ) number is DAAE07-01-T-0012. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-46, dated 17 Mar 1997. The associated North American Industrial Code System (NAICS) is 421840. The U.S. Army TACOM requirement is to purchase a quantity of seventy (70) cables (one cable fabricated per print), pull tested to 56,000 pounds. From that point the cable is to be pull tested to determine the destructive rating of that cable. When the cable rating is established after the destructive testing, the cables can then be manufactured. Seventy (70) cables are to be made. Pull tested to 56,000. Each cable is to have a rust preventive coating. The cables items are to be delivered crated (quantity of cables per crate to be determined by weight). One crate to be one-half ( ) to one (1) ton (or less), as per drawings posted at website: http://contracting.tacom.army.mil/installsupport/installationsupport.htm. No options will be included. FOB Destination will apply (freight included). Provision at FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors Commercial, applies to this acquisition. Offerors are advised to include a complete copy of the Provision 52-212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications Commercial Items. The clause at FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause at FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. This acquisition is rated DO4. Offers are due no later than 1:00 p.m., 29 Jun 2001. Only electronic submissions will be accepted.
