- Description
- Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform shipalt/dockside repairs including, but not limited to the following base and option items: (1) Install New Bullnose and Bollards, (2) Remove Barge Fenders, (3) Install Tug Fenders, (4) Install Hydraulic Pelican Hook and Modify the Barge Rigging System, (5) Travel and Perdiem, and (6) Composite Labor. The vessel is a 140-foot ice-breaking tug, which is 140' in length and 37', 7 1/4" in width and the 120' barge, is 125' in length and 52' in width. The vessels homepier is located in Detroit, MI. The place of performance for this = vessel will be the contractor's facility. The vessel is geographically restricted to the Great Lakes Area. The performance period will be 14 calendar days with a start date on or about 15 October 2001. Trained welders, who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures, shall accomplish all welding and brazing. Drawings are available on CD-ROM, free of charge to contractors. However, a non-refundable charge of $100.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for printed copies of the drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 E. Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA. Funds are available for this procurement. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about July 9, 2001. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises DBEs. The Department of Transportation (DOT) Short-Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
