Description
Contractor shall furnish all labor, tools, equipment, plant, material, parts, transportation, and incidentals necessary to replace Boiler #5 in B/3001 Central Plant at Tinker AFB, OK. For proper operation of the boiler facility and redundancy to meet the production needs in B/3001, it is necessary to install a new water tube boiler of approximately 70,000lbs/hr steam generating capacity. The project scope of work includes, but is not limited to the following: 1) Remove and dispose of the existing Boiler #5 (110,000 lbs/hr generating capacity) including the boiler, steel framework, associated piping and valves, and control components. 2) Prepare a new base and pad for the new boiler. 3) Remove or relocate the staircase and control panel on the front of Boiler #3 to allow passage of the new boiler to its location. 4) Provide a new self-contained, skid mounted water tube steam boiler of approximately 70,000 lbs/hr generating capacity operating at 225psi working pressure. Boiler will fire on both oil and gas. 5) Provide all necessary piping and electrical connections for boiler operation. 6) Provide all necessary structural supports for the boiler flue stack and economizer, as well as catwalks for service access on top of the boiler. 7) Provide a Direct Digital Control (DDC) system for the boiler compatible with the existing system in the plant. 8) Provide manufacturers? authorized startup and personnel training. 9) After receipt of the Notice to Proceed, boiler manufacturing/demolition/site construction may not begin until the permit application has been completed by the contractor, submitted to the Government who will, in turn, formally submit the permit to the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality (ODEQ). Type of Work: 70% Mechanical; 20% Electrical; 10% Structural. Magnitude of Construction: $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00 Completion Time: 395 calendar days after receipt of Notice to Proceed
