- Description
- The Generalized Emulation of Microcircuits (GEM) Program provides form, fit, function and interface (F3I) replacement parts for some otherwise non-procurable FSC 5962 microcircuits. The proposed acquisition is a follow-on to the current GEM contract with Sarnoff Corp. that provides a microcircuit capability that supports production, redesign, and sustainment requirements. The overall objective of the forthcoming procurement is to provide emulated microelectronic devices to meet the needs of DoD in providing for readiness and logistical support. Under the core effort of the proposed contract, the contractor must maintain the capacity to produce and deliver microelectronic devices meeting F3I requirements using GEM technology. Under the delivery order effort of the proposed contract, the contractor must be able to deliver emulated microcircuits, provide engineering services and provide GEM technology extensions and design efforts. A one year contract with four one-year options is contemplated. See Note 22.
