Description

The contractor will furnish and install a lightning protection system. The system will be installed by a firm actively in the installation of Master Labeled Lightning Protection Systems and shall be so listed by the Installation Requirements for Lightning Protection Systems, UL96A and the National Fire Protection Association's Lightning Protection Code No. 780. All materials shall generally be of copper and/or copper/bronze. In locations where the system components are mounted on aluminum surfaces, aluminum materials shall be used to avoid electrolytic corrosion of the dissimiliar metals. Size materials in accordance with the material requirements of NFPA 780 and UL96A. Use = Class II materials for systems on structures exceeding 75 feet above grade. This work is to be performed at the Harold Washington Social Security Center, 600 W. Madison Street, Chicago, Illinois. This procurement is Full and Open for both small and large businesses.
