Description

The National Atmospheric & Atmospheric Admin. (NOAA) for the design and fabrication of a L-band flat microstrip antenna which has the following specifications. 1) The antenna will be a circular printed-circuit disk of diameter similar to 2 meters, and should have a fixed main beam radiating in a direction 50 degrees relative to the disk's rotation axis. 2) Polarization should be linear and within the plane formed by the beam and disk axes. 3) The beamwidth should be 12 degrees. 4) The center frequency of the antenna should be 1413 megahertz, with a 40 megahertz 3-dB bandwidth. 5) High main beam (greater than 65%) efficiencies are required along with maximum sidelobe levels greater than 20dB below the main lobe. Technical merit as well as price will be used to evaluate offers. As the technical merit becomes more equal, price becomes a greater factor. Procurements under Simplified Acquisition Procedures ($25,000-$100,000) are set-aside for small business unless small business cannot meet the need at a reasonable price.
