Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. As such, proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition circular 97-26. The solicitation number is F1EWWX1500100. The Electronic Warfare (EW) Directorate at Edwards AFB (AFFTC) is seeking to purchase five steel storage containers. Specifications for the five containers shall include: 1) Five new stock class 2330-steel containers for storage purposes measuring 8'x 8'6" x 40', standard unit, wind/water resistance, Marine Grade Plywood Flooring, double doors at both ends with an exterior painted in Cream Color. 2) Stock class 2330-Skylights (three 2'x 2'skylights installed on each container). 3) Stock class 2330-Turbine (two 12" Wind Turbines attached to each container). 4) Stock class 2330-Lockbox (Installed lock box at each end of all five storage containers). This requirement is 100% set aside for small businesses. The NAICS code is 332439. Company size cannot exceed 500 employees. All respondents are reminded of the need for current Central Contractor Registration (CCR) registration. Without proof of current CCR registration, respondents are not eligible to bid on the items. CCR registration information can be obtained at www.ccr2000.com. The provision 52.212-2, Evaluation-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition and the specific evaluation criteria included in paragraph (a) are:=20 (I). Technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement; (II). Price. Offertory must include a completed copy of the provision 52.212-3, = Offer or Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, and a completed copy of the DFARS provision 252.212-7000, Offer or Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with the offer. For copies of these certifications, see the FAR site at http://farsite.hill.af.mil/ . The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The DFARS clause at 252.212-7001, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes Applicable to Defense Acquisitions of Commercial Items is applicable to this acquisition.
