Description

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Charleston, SC intends to issue a Request for Proposal for hardware and software equiipment as a commercial item requirement . The equipment includes 6 each rugged V2 AXmp Servers, 12 each V2 36GB Removable Hard Disk Drives, 6 each Antares Quad Fast Ethernet Boards, and 3 each Solaris 7 Media Kits. The Government anticipates award of a sole source contract to General Dynamics Communication Systems (GDCS), 400 John Quincy Adams Road, Tauton, MA 02780-1069. GDCS is the sole contractor with the ruggedized UNIX servers to support the SPAWAR sponsored Tactical Integrated Digital System program installations aboard US Navy submarines. The equipment must be shock Grade A Qualified. The applicable North American Industry Classification (NAIC) code is 334111 with an applicable size standard of 1,000 employees.
