Description

Los Angeles Job Corps Center is requesting bids for computer equipment. Bids may be faxed and/or mailed to the attention of Inez Johnson, 1031 South Hill Street, Los Angeles 90015. Fax #213-746-6984. All bids must reach my office before the close of business, July 2, 2001. There will be no exceptions. The center is requesting price quotes for forty (40) compaq Deskpro Ex-series computers. Compaq deskpro Ex-series to include Pentium III Cpu @866 MHz, HDD-20 Gigabytes, RAM-128 megabytes, CD-ROM 48x (or equivalent/current configuration). NIC (Network Interface Card) must be '3COM, 3COM PART #3C905C-TX-M'. Compaq NIC card is unacceptable and will not be substituted. Operating system: Must be WIN98 second edition or WIN98-ME. Operating system cannot be WIN2000. Add 128 megabyte of RAM for total RAM 256MB. Three years on-site Warranty. Specific configurations are given because equipment must be compatible with the existing hardware on the center now. Included in this request, will be forty (40) Compaq monitors, model #P710, 17". Twenty-five (25) HP printers, model #1200N with 16 Megabyte of RAM. Add 32Megabytes of RAM for a total of 48 Megabytes. NOTICE OF TOTAL HUBZone Set-Aside: Hubzone small business concern," as used in this clause, means a small business concern that appears on the List of Qualified HUBZone Small Business Concerns maintained by the Small Business Administration. (b) General: Offers are solicited only from HUBZone small business concerns. Offers received from concerns that are not HUBZone small business concerns shall not be considered. Any award resulting from this solicitation will be made to a HUBZone small business concern. AGreement: A HUBZone small business concern agrees that in the performance of the contract, in the case of a contract for Services, except construction, at least 50 percent of the cost of personnel for contract performance will be spent for employees of the concern or employees of other HUBZone small business concerns; Supplies other than acquisition from a non-manufacturer of the supplies, at least 50 percent of the cost of manufacturing, excluding the cost of materials, will be performed by the concern or other HUBZone small business concerns; General construction, at least 15 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other HUBZone small business concerns; or Construction by special trade contractors, at least 25 percent of the cost of the contract performance incurred for personnel will be spent on the concern's employees or the employees of other HUBZone small business concerns. A HUBZone joint venture agrees that, in the performance of the contract, the applicable percentage specificed in paragraph (c) of this clause will be performed by the HUBZone small business participant or participants. A HUBZone small business concern nonmanufacturer agrees to furnish in performing this contract only end items manufactured or producted by HUBZone small business manufacturer concerns. This paragraph does not apply in connection with construction or service contracts.
