Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is contemplating awarding a contract for services for timely acquisition and infectious disease testing of freshly drawn Human Blood, Blood Products, Saliva and urine for reference diagnostics and research use. The Contractor shall be required to assure donor confidentiality and shall make available adequate counseling in the event any donor specimens test positive for specific transmittable infection. Contractor must develop or have access to a numerically adequate pool of apparently healthy donors to meet CDC's needs. The Contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities, and supplies and equipment to meet the CDC's needs for fresh whole blood and aphaeresis products from apparently healthy, normal donors including daily early morning (collections to be completed by 8:00am each morning) on-site drawing of small volumes of blood (less than 200mls) at CDC campuses at 1600 Clifton Road Atlanta, GA 30333 and 4770 Buford Highway Atlanta, GA 30341. The contractor will provide off-site facility under the direct supervision of GA licensed medical physician for collection of all blood volumes greater than 201mls and apheresis products. This requirement shall be for a period of one year with four one-year option renewal periods.=20 Request for the solicitation must cite the RFP Number. No telephone requests.
