Description

The Health Resources and Services Administration intends to negotiate on a SOLE SOURCE basis with Minority Health Communications, 1101 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington, DC 20004. This procurement shall be processed in accordance with the Simplified Acquisition Procedures in Part 13 of the Federal Acquisition Regulations. The purpose of this procurement is to conduct an assessment of communities where diabetes is most prevalent and its incidence highest by examining physician prescribing and treatment patterns and the communities' responses for eliminating diabetes disparities for racial and ethnic minority populations. The contractor shall: collect, compare and analyze by selected zip codes pharmaceutical prescribing patterns of community based and office based physicians in their treatment of diabetes; and prepare reports and materials associated with the analyses. Minority Health Communications is deemed the only responsible source capable of providing the required work and services. The period of performance is one year. A Justification for Other than Full and Open Competition is on file. The award shall be made using simplified acquisition procedures. See Note 26.
