Description

Furnish all necessary labor, materials, equipment, supervision, etc. to construct a seawater intake system for the NMFS Santa Cruz Laboratory, Santa Cruz California. System to be constructed includes a 3 meter (10') diameter steel caisson approximately 26 meters (85') in depth with a concrete below grade pumphouse. Four (4) directly drilled pipelines from the caisson through bluff face to the ocean; a concrete pad with sand filters at grade; 567,750 liter (150,000 gallon) low profile concrete storage tank; a below grade concrete pumphouse with four (4) distribution pumps and associated piping; infrastructure utilities to connect new intake system with existing seawater distribution system. Plans and specifications utilize the international system of units (SI) metric equivalent measurements. Project duration: 210 days from notice-to-proceed. Invitation for bids expected to be issued on or about July 9, 2001. Bid opening date tentatively set for August 14, 2001 at 2:30 p.m. in Seattle, Washington. Plans and specifications will be furnished with the bid package. The charge for the invitation package is $10.00.
