Description
This project involves the construction of a new center to be placed in the Brandywine District of Wilmington, Delaware. The center will be a new two story structure consisting of approximately 37,000 square feet of usable space. The building will incorporate concrete footing foundation wall and floors with CMU wall partitions and Brick Veneers. The roof will be mainly metal with only a modified bitumen roof around the roof mounted mechanical units. The center is designed to be a 150 person non-resident facility. The estimated cost range is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. The estimated completion time is 356 calendar days. This requirement is issued as a new solicitation. Bidders who purchased bid sets under the previous announcement (Solicitation No. IFB-01-DCS-02-JC) may exchange the documents for this solicitation at no charge. Bidders shall not rely on the previous solicitation in preparing their bids. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 3, 2001, from the office of the U.S. Department of Labor/ETA, C/O Tevebaugh Associates, Two Mill Road, Suite 210, Wilmington, Delaware 19806. Contact Mr. James Tevebaugh at (302) 984-1400 for additional information regarding this project. Collect calls will not be accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications shall only be directed to Tevebaugh Associates to ensure proper handling of requests. Requests must be in writing, and a $100.00 bid deposit which is refundable when plans and specifications are returned in good condition. This bid deposit must be in the form of a certified check, cashier's check, or money order made payable to the U.S. Department of Labor, and submitted to the A/E Firm at the time of request. Request will be answered on a first-come, first-serve basis until supplies are exhausted, the Contracting Officer may determine whether payment of a fee is warranted. The non-refundable fee shall not exceed the actual cost of duplication of the IFB documents, plus COD charges. Pre-bid Conference is scheduled on July 18, 2001 at 10:00 A.M., local time at the Wilmington Job Corps Center. Bid Opening is August 2, 2001 at 1:00 P.M., local time at the Architect/Engineering office mentioned above. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 233320. The size standard is $27.5 million. HUBzone, small disabled veterans, woman-owned, small disadvantaged businesses, 8(a) businesses, and small businesses are encouraged to apply.
