Description

DIGITAL MULTIPURPOSE RANGE COMPLEX (DMPRC), FORT HOOD, TX. Project includes 8 firing trails with concrete turn pads, 39 turret down defilade positions, 210 stationary infantry target emplacements, 8 armor moving target emplacements and 140 stationary armor target emplacements. Other facilities include staging and parking areas, helipad, limit markers, electrical distribution, fiber optic communications, copper phone lines, storm drainage, low water crossings, service roads and berms. Buildings include a control building (239 m2), review building (330 m2), maintenance building (200 m2), instruction building (74 m2), and 2 latrines (22 m2 each). This project includes contractor clearance of Unexploded Ordnance (UXO). The contractor will be required to clear any UXO and suspected UXO items in construction areas inside the impact and buffer areas. Estimated Cost Range: $25,000,000 to $50,000,000. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 234110, Highways and Street Construction, Except Elevated Highways, which corresponds to SIC Code 1611. The Small Business Size Standard is $27.5 Million. Solicitation to be issued on or about 2 July 2001. Proposals due on or about 01 August 2001. The plans and specifications have been placed on Compact Disk (CD-ROM) and will be provided free of charge on the issue date. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a paper hard copy format. Notification of amendments shall be made through 3.5" diskette, CD-ROM and/or the Internet. However, the Government reserves the right to use only the Internet as notification of any changes to this solicitation. It is therefore the contractor's responsibility to check the following address daily for any posted changes to this solicitation.
