Description

Provide all necessary labor, supervision, materials and equipment to convert an existing classroom to a Learning Resource Center and modify an existing bathroom in Munro Hall, Building 261, at the USCG Training Center Cape May, 1 Munro Avenue, Cape May, NJ. In general the work includes but is not limited to the following: 1.1 Demolish existing metal stud wall in classroom including electrical outlets and wiring. 1.2 Remove existing carpet in classroom. 1.3 Paint walls in classroom. 1.4 Install a new 4.5 inch high, carpeted, stringerless access floor system in the classroom. 1.5 Raise hot water baseboard heaters approximately 6 inches in classroom. Extend piping as necessary. 1.6 Rearrange existing 2x4, recessed lighting fixtures in classroom. Install new lighting switches and rewire as necessary. 1.7 Retrofit existing four lamp T12 lighting fixtures to two lamp T8 fixtures. 1.8 Install new electrical panel in classroom including conduit, feeder, and surge protector. 1.9 Install several new electrical circuits to computers, printers, A/V equipment, and other equipment. Circuits to include new circuit breakers, conduit, and access flooring power/data boxes. 1.10 Remove one existing door and two curbed areas in the bathroom. Widen opening and patch walls to match existing. 1.11 Relocate existing washing machines and dryers. Extend electrical circuits to new location. Provide new vent to outside. 1.12 Build new = concrete block wall in existing bathroom. Paint wall and install tile to the mid-way point on the wall. 1.13 Install new toilets and urinals including partitions. Extend existing piping as necessary. All work must be completed by 1 January 2002. This procurement is estimated between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00 and is open to both small and large businesses in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program.
