Description
SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE -- 1. The purpose of this sources sought synopsis is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classifications (HUBZone 8 (a), 8(a), and HUBZone small) relative to NAICS code 56121. 2. The Government will use the responses to this sources sought synopsis to make appropriate acquisition decisions for planned Fixed Price Contract see submittal requirements below. After review of the responses to this sources sought synopsis, and if the Government still plans to proceed with the acquisition, a solicitation announcement will be published in the CBD. Responses to this sources sought synopsis are not adequate response to the solicitation announcement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis will not result in your firm's name being added to a plan holder list to receive a copy of the solicitation. 3. No solicitation is available at this time. All interested offeror's will have to respond to the solicitation announcement in addition to, and separate from, responding to this sources sought synopsis. Interested parties must document any "Teaming arrangements" proposed to complete the work. Interested parties must submit their qualifications, address technical and management capabilities and past experience with work of similar size and nature. In addition, interested parties must submit a list of similar contracts performed (limit the list to 5 projects performed in the past 3 years). The list must include contract numbers, client's name, client's point of contact with phone number and email address, description of the work, dollar size, specific description of the respondent's actual work involvement (state whether you were the prime or a subcontractor, what specifically you did, and how much money was your portion of the project). 4. The Scope of Work includes services for both Housing units and Facilities at the Marine Corps Support Activity in Belton, MO. The Housing maintenance may include emergency, urgent and routine type requirements including appliance and equipment repairs, preventive maintenance, pest control, janitorial services, snow removal, ice control, painting, refinishing hard wood floors, repairs to the utility distribution systems, grounds maintenance and performing indefinite quantity work items of maintenance and repairs as designated for Military Family Housing Units, Belton, Missouri. In addition to this Housing Maintenance requirement the contractor will be required to provide Facilities Maintenance and Repair Services consisting of operation, maintenance, repair, minor construction and alteration services for buildings, structures and other similar facilities. 5. The period of performance will be for a base year and 4 options, for a total not to exceed 5 years. The contract will be firm-fixed price indefinite quantity. 6. If an 8 (a) business were to receive an award as prime contractor as a result of a 8 (a) program set-aside the firm will be required to comply with FAR 52.219-14(b)(3) to perform at least 50 percent of the cost of the contract, not including the cost of materials, with its own employees. Provide evidence that on past contracts of a similar nature that your firm (as the prime contactor) was able to comply with this requirement. Responses to this sources sought synopsis must include information as to the size and classification of the business responding relative to the NAICS Code 56121. If HUBZone, provide proof of SBA certification. 7. The responses to this sources sought synopsis are due by 1400 11 July 2001 and may be faxed, e-mailed, or mailed to the attention of M. L. No telephonic responses will be accepted. Responses must be received no later than 2:00p.m.local time on July 11, 2001. 8. Only firms providing complete information required by this synopsis will be evaluated. This is not a solicitation announcement; this is a sources sought synopsis only. This notice is to assist the Engineering Field Activity, Midwest in determining potential sources only. If and when a solicitation is issued, the solicitation, plans and specifications will only be available for downloading on the NAVFAC website at www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. No hard copies will be furnished or mailed. 11. All offerors must be CCR registered to receive a government contract award. To register, the CCR Internet address is: www.ccr200.com. All firms responding to this sources sought synopsis are advised that their response to this notice is not a request to be considered for a contract award. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later in the CBD and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the response to this request.
