Description

The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Crane Division has a requirement for 2 Engineering Development Module First Article Kits, plus a minimum quantity of 4 kits, maximum quantity of 70 production hardware kits in support of the AN/SLQ-32 Countermeasure System. The Navy intends to issue a solicitation with the intent of awarding a five year IDIQ type contract. Solicitation will include line items for 2 First Article Kits, Production Kits, Training, Drawings, and data for operational software support. The purchase of the kits will replace the existing AN/SLQ-32 SRU's and update existing AN/SLQ-32 Operating Software. The kits will be programmed in the original ROLM 1666B language code. This solicitation will be issued on a sole source basis to Comptek PRB Associates, Inc. In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1(a), it has been determined the supplies and services can only be met by one responsible source and no other supplies and services will satisfy the agency requirements. Comptek is the only source that possesses the drawings,test procedure and operating software code to manufacture the required kits. Delivery of First Article will be due one year after contract award, the minimum quantity of 4 each will be required six months after acceptance of first article. Delivery terms will F.O.B. destination, NSWC Crane with Inspection and Acceptance at source. Request for proposal N00164-01-R-0094 is to be issued on or about 20 July 2001.
