Description

The Government anticipates awarding a sole source contract to Raytheon Company, Fort Wayne Operations, 1010 Production Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46808-4106. The proposed requirement is for equipment which will be integrated with the existing Patrol Coastal Communication network: UHF channel for AN/USC-54(v): 14 Single Board Modem (SBM) circuit cards, 14 Single Board receiver/Exciter (SBRE) circuit cards, 14 AM-7552 High Powered Amplifiers, 14 KG Panel Assemblies, 1 Single Board Processor Multiplexer (SBPM) circuit card. Quantities are estimates at this time and options for additional components to include 6 SBPM's, 6 SBRE's, 4SBPM's and 6 HPA's are anticipated. The resulting contract will be a firm fixed price type procurement. This acquisition will be negotiated on a Sole Source basis with Raytheon Company under the authority of FAR 3.302-1 (Only one source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements). This is necessary to ensure compatibility with the existing system requirements. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS. See Numbered Note 22. A determination by the Contracting Officer not to compete this proposed action based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Contracting Officer.
