Description

The Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport intends to award a sole source contract to Model Technology, Inc., Portland, OR for the procurement of 1 ea. FPGA Advantage VHDL AP Software and 1 ea. FPGA Advantage VHDL Initial Maintenance. This software is produced by Mentor Graphics Corp. This procurement is sole source as the software must be compatible with the existing version of this Mentor Graphics software currently used in-house. The minimum Government requirements, beside the above mentioned compatibility, is that the software must be capable of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) design and layout, including full support of Hardware Description Languages (HDL). Additionally, project management, revision control, and netlist assembly must be included. The proposed contract action is for supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source using SAP and commercial item procedures as set forth in FAR Parts 12 and 13. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received by June 28, 2001 will be considered by the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Our department no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. There is no solicitation package associated with the subject procurement.
