Description

The proposed work consist of providing and furnishing all labor, supplies, material, equipment,transportation, supervision, and other incidentals (surveying, testing and equipment, field testing and laboratory services) necessary to replace the existing gas, sewer, and water lines in accordance with the General Conditions, Special Conditions, Supplemental Technical specification, Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Standard Specification and Details 1998 Edition under Sealed Bid No. N00-01-11. SPECIAL NOTE: A Pre-Bid Conference will be conducted on June 28, 2001 at 11:00 AM (Local Time) at Flagstaff Kinlani Bordertown Dormitory, 901 North Kinlani Road, Flagstaff, Arizona. Invitation for Bid Number N00-01-11, Bid Opening Date is July 12, 2001 at 2:00 P.M. (Local Time at Place of Bid Opening). This project is Total Set-Aside for 51% Indian Owned and Controlled Firm and is a Labor Surplus Area Set-Aside. The estimated price range for this project is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. Section 7(B) of PL 93-638 (U.S.C. 450E) and 41 CFR 14-1.354 require that preference opportunities in employment and training to be given to Indian/Alaska Native Individuals and that preference in the award of subcontracts be given to Indian/Alaska Native Economic Enterprises. Failure by the Contractor to submit a plan for doing so prior award and implement same after award shall be sufficient reason for non-award for termination of the contract for default.
