Description

NASA/GSFC plans to issue a Request for Quote (RFQ) for one each Atomix Oxygen Source with 5ev or higher average particle energy and 1E15 particles/CM2/sec flux at 4" distance from source, UHV compatible. Additional specifications include: electron simulated desorption of oxygen diffusing through membrane; all ultra high vaccum compatible; no braze material that might contaminate diffuser adjacent to diffusion membrane; mounting on conflat flange; less than 1 in 1000 ions in beam. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP). The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 334516 and 500 employees, respectively. The DPAS Rating for this procurement is DOC9. The anticipated release date of RFQ 915-24631-0000/902 is on or about July 3, 2001 with an anticipated quote due date of on or about July 19, 2001. All qualified responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B".
