Description

An existing 4.16kV underground circuit in a duct bank system which provides electrical power for the airfield is to be demoed by removing the existing conductors from the duct bank system. A new 12.47kV three phase circuit is to be installed in the vacated conduit and will be approximately 8000 feet in length. The new circuit will be fed from an existing 15kV pad mounted air switch. The project requires reconfiguring several existing pad mounted air switches and 15kV junction boxes. In addition a new 25kVA single phase transformer is to be installed to supply some existing airfield weather sensors and a new three phase 75kVA pad mount transformer is to be installed to replace an existing one. Estimated cost range: Between $100,000 and $250,000. There is a $25.00 non-refundable charge per set for plans and specifications.
