- Description
- The work shall consist of furnishing all plant, labor, equipment and materials (except Government-furnished materials) for the construction work under Project number 96-1000 Entitled Replace Generator and Transfer Switch Bldg 16, at McChord AFB, Washington. Work includes: Removing exterior fence, curbing, transformer and radiator; removing interior lighting regulators and 4160 volt equipment and lighting; provide 480 volt pad mount transformer, radiator and fan and screen wall exterior to the building; provide 460 volt wiring and switchgear to continue to serve existing 4160 volt circuits originating in building 16; provide 480 volt service equipment, transfer switch, generator, regulators and wiring; provide fire detection devices and wiring; and provide exterior tilt-up concrete screen wall with finish system matching the Control Tower screen wall. The Magnitude of construction is between $250,000 and $500,000. The applicable NAICS code is 235310 (SIC 1731) with a size standard of annual average revenue of $11,500,000 over three years. . In conformance with FAR 19.300 this acquisition is being considered for a Hubzone set-aside. If your firm is Hubzone certified and intends to propose on this acquisition, please provide the following information to the Contracting Officer not later than ten (10) days after the publication of this notice: (1) SBA certification of Hubzone eligibility, (2) capability statement of your firm and, (3) a positive statement that your firm intends to propose on this acquisition. Based upon this response, the Contracting Officer will make a determination if there is a reasonable expectation of adequate competition for award or to proceed with full and open competition procedures. The period of performance is 180 calendar days with 90 days on site. The solicitation will be only available on Federal Business Opportunities Web Site at www.eps.gov. This solicitation will be issued on or about 5 July 2001. The proposal due date is on or about 6 Aug 2001, 4:00pm local time.
