Description

The Marine Corps Systems Command intends to award a sole source contract to Comet Pyrotechnik of Bremerhaven, Germany for the production of up to 5000 floating smoke pot ammunition rounds. Total estimated value of this procurement is $5.5M. Comet Pyrotechnik is the original manufacturer of the smoke payload to be used in this round and owns all related proprietary data. Each round consists of a container; smoke payload, and fuze and ignition system. The equipment will be employed either on land or in water and produces smoke to obscure troop and equipment movement. No RFP is available for competitive bidding; however interested parties are encouraged to submit a statement of capability for satisfying this requirement within 15 days of this announcement to the contact person listed above.
