Description
The U.S. Coast Guard (USCG), Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring services for maintenance and repair of "Autocall" fire protection alarm system at the Coast Guard Academy, New London Connecticut. The requirement include periodically recurrent inspection and tests required to keep the fire protection alarm system and its components in an operative condition at all times, together with upgrading and replacement of the system or its components when they become unreliable or inoperative. Services provided for the system must comply with the most recent provisions of National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 72 and all other related NFPA codes. The solicitation is issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Subpart 13.5, Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. A firm-fixed price type with Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity provisions will be awarded by 30 September 2001. The total contract duration will not exceed five years. The base period of performance will be from 1 October 2001 through 30 September 2002 with four twelve-month option periods,if exercised by the Government. This requirement is solicited in accordance with FAR Subpart 6.2, for 100% small business set aside concerns capable of providing the services. The applicable NAICS code is 561621 (Security System Services (except Locksmiths) with a Small Business Size Standard of $9.0 million. For the calculation of annual receipts and number of employees see parts 121.104 and 121.106 in SBA's Small Business Size Regulations http://www.sba.gov/regulations/121/. The Government reserves the right to consider a small business, 8(a) or any other set aside arrangement as deemed appropriated for this procurement.
