- Description
- A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate, qualified SBA Certified 8(a) firms to set-aside this proposed contract for SBA Certified 8(a). The proposed contract will be for the Construction of a new Armed Forces Reserve Center in Greenville, NC, and will consist of a 7,000 square meter (approx. 77,000 sq. feet) training building, 1,300 square meter (approx. 14,000 sq. feet) maintenance building and 186 square meter (approx. 2,000 sq. feet) unheated storage building on an existing farming lot. The site work will include paved asphalt driveways and parking lots for private and military vehicles. The facilities will include standing seam metal roof, cmu, brick, structural steel framework, steel studs, drywall, aluminum windows and doors, furniture systems, equipment storage racks, electrical systems, communication systems, and mechanical systems. This project is to provide 600 member AFRC with administrative areas, assembly area, kitchen area, weapons area, educational areas, storage areas, humans and building support areas. The OMS/ AMSA will include shop offices, tool and parts storage areas, special material and waste areas, communication and electrical shop, small arms repair areas, supply room, break room, maintenance bays, wash racks fencing and lighting. The estimated cost range is $10,000,000 to $25,000,000, with an estimated construction duration of 330 days. All interested SBA Certified 8(a) firms should notify this office in writing by mail or Fax by 3 July 2001, 4:00 P.M. EDT. Responses should include (1) Identification of company as SBA Certified 8(a); (2) firm's experience similar projects both in scope and cost, including data on performance with phone numbers of references; and (3) evidence of bonding capacity (performance and payment) for an individual project of this size.
